Our Children's Programs
Longleaf Learning Collective was born from a desire to have accessible outdoor programs for people of all ages and the overwhelming need for caregivers to find community. We bring our love of nature and our passion for nurturing relationships to the woods each week!
Our classes are offered year round for children aged 0-10 and their caregivers. Enrollment is open on a seasonal basis. Below you will find our Spring registration forms as well as information on our weekly programs based on the age of the child.
Our Seeds classes are designed for babies 0-24 months, and their caregivers. This is a wonderful way to get outside with your little ones and enjoy nature. This class focuses on developmentally appropriate nature themed sensory play and building community and connection with other caregivers.
Our Sprouts classes utilize curriculum developed for children 2-6 years old. Classes incorporate the same rhythm every week with a different nature-based topic! Caregiver involvement, fine motor skills, imagination, emotional regulation, plus knowledge and understanding about the natural world come together beautifully in this course.
Join our Saplings program for a unique homeschool enrichment experience. Designed for kids aged 6-10 years old, our outdoor classes allow students to connect with the world around them while meeting North Carolina science standards. Register your child today for an unforgettable learning adventure.
Through the generous support of our community, we are proud to have the ability to offer scholarships. If cost is a prohibitive factor in accessing the outdoors and our programs, assistance is available. Please fill out this form and do not hesitate to reach out with questions.
